Another weekly roundup. It was a pretty busy week with appointments and events, but the family takes a break from life when we all Spring Break with kiddo this week.
Weekly High: The dance classes I accidentally signed up for!
Weekly Low: Fracturing my elbow Friday morning from an epic fall in the parking lot at work
Weekly Ha: Having to swallow my pride and ask my co-worker to be available to help me in the bathroom because I cannot move my left arm.
Cool Eats: Boudin eggrolls from Our Mom's. Loaded crawfish pistolette from Crawford's.
Weekly Round Up:
Chasing the Fun: My daughter's school brought back their 8th grade Community Read event. They gave all of the kids a copy of The Hunger Games, and encouraged parents to read it too. They then hosted a night where the kids and parents could discuss the book with the librarians and some of their teachers and administration. Not that many kids opted to participate, but it was really fun to hear the kids perspectives on the book and to enjoy that time with kiddo.
Chasing the Fun 2: Another bookish event, the Friends of the LSU library book sale happened this week! My business office book loving friends brought me with them for my first time at one. I was not mentally prepared and got a little overwhelmed. I'm also not the best thrifter, so if things don't jump out at me, then I just keep moving. All things said and done, I stopped myself at 7 books, and didn't even spend $20.
Current Read: I Kill the Mockingbird by Paul Acampora
Ongoing Read: Fourth Wing ... officially half way though (50% per Libby) and I have OPINIONS! (Why is Dane such a crappy friend? Who hurt you for you to be able to write a character that horrible, Rebecca?)
On Replay: Songs I can't Listen To, Neon Trees
Watching: Bad Influence, the Dark Side of Kidfluencing .. and lots of 20/20
Obsessing: About my appointment with an orthopedic doc on Monday to discuss my fractured elbow. He is an elbow specialist, but Dr. Google has me feeling secure and positive going into Monday. Now to just figure out the best way to actually sleep with this business ...
