Spring Break Family Style

Kiddo's spring break was last week, so we all spring breaked our way over to Gulf Shores. I can honestly say that in very rare form for me, I did not read a book the entire trip. We also, didn't have too much down time. We got there on Monday and came home Wednesday, so it was quick and we tried to pack as much in as we could. Here are the highlights.

Food:

Lambert's Cafe: Home of the throwed rolls! If you leave hungry from here, it's your own fault. Not only do you get your entree and choice of sides, but they have about 6 different "pass around" sides that they just keep walking around with, and you can get as many rolls thrown to you that you can catch! Good home cooking in a super fun and unique atmopshere.

Sunliner Diner: A cool 50s themed diner that plays all of the old hits and has a projector showing the old shows! I Love Lucy was playing while I indulged in these decadent chocolate chip waffles.

Cosmos: Recommended to us by family, we enjoyed the atmosphere of the outdoor dining space. The menu had a little bit of everything. While only one of us ordered off their $10 lunch menu, there were plenty of options on it. I went with the crab cake sandwich, which was one of the best crab cakes I've had. And the mocktail I got was just pure summery perfection.

Parlor Doughnuts: Not gonna lie, the donuts here are more like cakes. It wasn't what we were expecting at all. So we got some mini donuts to try, and then I got the breakfast tacos which were AMAZING! They stay open late, so next time, we'll go back for a donut for dessert.

Activities:

The Beach: I mean, how gorgeous is this! We stayed at a condo that was just an easy block walk away.

Jurassic Mini-Golf: Black lights, 3D glasses, dinosaurs and mini-golf? Who could ask for more!

Sunset Dolphin Cruise: My favorite part of this whole trip.

USS Alabama: Kiddo's request for us to stop on the way home. While I couldn't do much of the climbing with my arm in a sling, kiddo had a great time.
