Summer Reading - Boys & Girls Club: Week 3

This past week was my last week reading my little friends at the Boys and Girls Club. They were going on a field trip, so I decided to only read one book to them. I knew that their minds would not be focused on what I was reading, so out of the 3 books that I brought, I decided to pick one that was funny.

Mr. S by Monica Arnaldo was the book that I chose to read. Our young friends show up to school, and they don't see a teacher in the classroom. All they see is a coffee cup and a sandwich on the desk. This is their first year in school, so they spend some debating on whether the sandwich is their teacher or not since "Mr. S" is written on the chalkboard.

They go through the day learning their lessons, which are all themed around sandwich items, and then a man comes in. They think maybe he is their teacher, but he's not. He's the principal, who introduces them to Mr. S, the sandwich. The students all think his name is Mr. Sandwich, but it's not ...

And here were the books that were the honorable mentions that would have also been read, if we had time for them.
