Weekly Recap

 

So I don't even know where to begin with my weekly recaps now, so welcome to the hot mess of a weekly recap! Kiddo had multiple volleyball games and a football game to work this week, and she also auditioned for All-District/All-State choir, and had a birthday party to attend so it's been a roller coaster of driving!

Craziest Moment

This morning, as I was getting dressed for church, I pulled out a jacket to wear with my outfit and noticed a gecko on the collar. I knocked him off, see him scurry further into my closet, close the door and put the jacket on my bed. I turn around and see another gecko coming out of the sleeve. 

I tried to catch this one in a water bottle, but he alluded me and went under my bed. So I know there are at least two geckos that have decided we are roommates. I asked them to please not come in my bed or in any of my bags. 

Sunday Story Time

I started a series on TikTok a while back called Sunday story time, where I share some random story from my life. This series does not get a lot of traction, but I find it fun anyway. 

Today's story was about how my best friend and I became Corporate Angels for a junior hockey team in North Dakota (we lived in Texas at the time). The Fargo Force had done a spoof of the ASPCA commercials (for $1 a day, you can save this dog) and I thought it was brilliant. I called their office and asked what the minimum we had to give to get a flag and while it was more than we could do, they said since we were from nowhere around there, if we bought a voucher pack for $100, they would send us a flag. We did ... and they did. And we proudly displayed our Fargo Force flag in our office. 

Cool Eats

First up is the buffalo chicken wrap from Sammy's. This is a steal because it's $15 and enough food for two people. In the middle, we have the calzone boxes I had catered from Rotolo's for the office. Did you know they catered? I didn't And lastly, the catfish Philly from Po-Boy Express. This is still just on the specials board and I need it to make it on to the full menu because it's my favorite thing they serve. 

Chase the Fun

I started my next diamond painting project! It's a set of 8 coasters that all involve gnomes with coffee, two of my favorite things! I also finally found the Sponge Bob Square Pants Olipop! This pineapple soda was very refreshing and was great by itself but also great to use in mocktails. 

Books Read 

I was a part of the ARC team for these 4 books that all release in the next two weeks! You'll get more about them a batch post later, but I highly recommend all of these. I have 4 more ARCs that I need to read in the next two weeks, so I better get to reading!
