We are officially in the time of year where I don't know what day it is or how many weeks are left until Christmas. I am seriously having to look at my planner and my camera roll to figure out what I even did this past week.
NOVEL PROGRESS
I managed to do some writing on my novel every day this week. This week may be more of a research and planning week than a writing week. I'm at a point that I know where I want to go but am unsure of exactly how to get there, so we've got to do some research and planning so the word count may not make huge strides. I feel like my goal for November was a little too ambitious with how real life seems to be getting in the way, but forward is progress and I'm going to keep making strides.
Current Word Count 12,220
CHASE THE FUN
I have a friend who has been trying to get me to go to musical bingo with her for a few months now. The problem is that it's usually on a Friday and kiddo has always had something going on. It was moved to a Saturday this month, so we were able to make it and it was so much fun! The people were fun to play with, the atmosphere of the ice cream shop hosting it was chill, the food was good, and kiddo and I BOTH got bingo! We're ready to go back.
COOL EATS
So many cool eats this week!
Pizza Artista - This is a kids pizza and trust me, I'll be getting this from now on when I order from there because it was plenty of food for me.
Dearman's - One of the Hungry Fam's favorite spots in the city. The burgers are SO good.
Siete Mexican Hot Chocolate cookies - an impulse buy from Sprouts, but totally worth it.
Little Debbie - It's Christmas tree cake season, y'all, so this is about to become my new identity.
Mustard Seed Creamery - This is the place where we did musical bingo. The rocky road ice cream was delicious and kiddo and I fully approve of the muffaletta hummus and the chicken in a waffle cone.
BOOKS READ
I managed to read five books this week and only have two more ARCs to finish .... before some new ones roll in that I'm sure I forgot about. I have a few new releases that come out this week that I want to get to and also a few KU downloads that I've been sitting on. (*denotes an ARC)
Christmas Wishes and Accountant Kisses*: The final book in the Letters to Mrs. Claus series. Super cute, but more on that in Friday's post.
Bass &Trouble: Bass and Julie's story was an emotional roller coaster. Bass' sister dies, and leaves him as the guardian of her twins. He pulls away from everyone, including Julie, who finally has enough and leaves. However, she is interning at social services and makes sure to look out for those twins when the wrong people want to take them away from Bass.
Scoring Zone*: Grayson and Austin have been friends forever. A New Years kiss has them both realizing that they want more. With Austin's shame issues and Grayson's self doubt, can they figure out a way to get through to each other and be happy together?
Tech: These MC romance authors really have a thing for drama. Tech falls in love with Brook, but his mother interferes, a lot. We find out that her reasons stem from her trauma and how she was treated by the MC and in her own messed up way, she is really looking out for Brook. It's crazy OW drama in this one.
Pucking Friendmas*: Our friends from the Nighthawks are back and here to plan a do-over Christmas for their ladies. Laughs are a guarantee as it becomes obvious why men usually aren't in charge during the holiday season, but what they lack in organization and planning they make up for in holiday cheer and enthusiasm.
