I have, once again, girl bossed too hard and had many an ARC to review that came out or comes out from mid-September to mid-October. So we're about to be very book heavy here on the blog. We're starting off with a book that came out September 16th, Brad & Finn. This is part of a multi-author series about classmates who all attended Gomillion High that are coming back for their 20 year class reunion.
This was an easy read that left me with a smile on my face. Everything from the friendship between Chloe and Finn, to their reuniting with Brad, and the budding relationship between Brad and Finn was beautifully written.
Brad is back in town for his high school reunion by choice, while Finn is there by the force of nature that is his best friend Chloe. After reconnecting, the deep friendship that Brad and Finn always had is still there after all these years. I was so happy to see that Brad finally recognized that Finn has always been his person and that maybe for once he should make himself happy instead of trying to please everyone else.
I love that strong friendships were also a huge theme throughout the book. Between Finn, Chloe and Kendall, who have been ride or die since high school - even though we don’t meet Kendall in this book; Chloe and Finn reviving their friendship with Brad; and especially Christian, Chloe and Finn welcoming Brad into their fold of friendship, their found family is the sweetest!
