We'll start the recap of this trip with the second most important part of it, the food! (The most important part being kiddo's performance, obviously.)
Started the trip off strong with some brunch at the airport from Panda Express. Their honey walnut shrimp is my favorite item on the menu! We flew Southwest and I have to say that I think they have the best snacks. I was so excited to find out that I could buy these pretzels at Sprouts!
My first night there, I had to get pizza! I went to Crave and got a white slice and then a Detroit pepperoni. There is nothing I like in New York more than a white slice. I'm not as big of a fan of it anywhere else. There's just something they do that makes it better.
The next morning I stopped for some breakfast at Ole & Steen. I couldn't decide between savory and sweet, so I got both. A chocolate bun and a sourdough roll with cheese and butter. 🤤
I discovered the Jalapeno Chicken Pockets at Starbucks and fell in love. This is my new go-to for a snack mid-day since there is one across the street from work.
I also forgot to make a reservation before kiddo and I went to see Wicked so we ended up at McDonalds for dinner. Solid evidence for my mom of the year nomination.
Got to tag along with kiddo and her group one night to do some sightseeing. I got this chicken quesadilla from the Majestic Diner and a NY Cheesecake donut from Krispy Kreme.
Our hotel was across the street from Junior's so my parents went there a lot. We went for breakfast and I cannot say enough good things about these breakfast potatoes. Delicious! And this brownie cheesecake was the perfect dessert to work my way through while we were in town.
The taco bar they had on the dinner cruise was actually really good. And, of course, I had to end my eating in NYC just how I started with pizza at the airport - a white slice and a pan pepperoni and sausage.
