Weekly Recap

I really don't know where the year is going and how these weeks are getting shorter, but it feels like they are.

About the Book I'm Writing ...

Yea, I'm still stumped. I've actually put time on my calendar to force myself to go back and read what I already have and have made notes to research where to go from here. But it's slow going, and I now feel bad for getting upset at some Wattpad authors I follow for not updating their works at my speed.

About the food and the fun ...

Not a whole lot to talk about in the fun department because the things on the calendar for me got rescheduled, but I do have some food to talk about!

I did a lunch run with my business office besties and we went to one of the Hungry fam's favorites - Rice and Roux. Neither of them had been before, so I made them get the sampler so they could try all the things. I stuck to my go-go which is a kids jambalaya with a side of potato salad and the crawfish pies. We then went to Coffee Call for beignets for dessert and this was my first time going there and it was so cute inside! The beignets are also AMAZING.

After kiddo place FIRST OVERALL IN HER DIVISION in World Geography at District Literary Rally, we went to Olive Garden for lunch. I got their four cheese manicotti which was an ode to my grandmother who would make manicotti for every holiday meal because she wanted to eat it. We also got their chocolate lasagna to split which is sinfully good.

Other fun eats this week were the brisket Mac stack from Dicky's and the pepper jack boudin egg rolls from Hannah Q's.

About the books ...

I got in a funk this week for reading, but managed to finish these which I would recommend.

Tormented Omega is book one and it ended on a cliffhanger so I REALLY need book two to come out. It was so good though, if you're into omegaverse books.

The Inheritance Games was a great listen and I really need the second book to come off my holds at the library so I can keep playing and figure out why Avery inherited a fortune.

A Thousand Broken Pieces did not wreck me as much as the first book in the series, but if you need a good cry and a good story, pick this one up.

Buzzed On You comes out next week and I recommend anything Hannah Henry writes and am so grateful to have received an ARC for this one.

Catch everyone next week!
